I submitted my resignation application during the first week back after the Spring Festival hoilday, and the last day will be at the end of February.
This decision wasn't impulsive, it's been on my to-do list for quite some time.
Consequently, I will have ample time to pursue my personal goals. I can focus on finding a new job, preparing for the IELTS exam, or applying to Master's degree programs(possibly in design). There are so many possibilities that being without a job isn't as terrible as it might seem.
Before this
I followed a conventional path my whole life: local primary, middle, and high schools, followed by university in my hometown. My focus was always on getting into the best schools possible. Finally, after graduating, I moved to Beijing, far from home.
But it has been still unremarkable, just working to make a living. For years, I've considered a different path, but I'm worry too much of what I might lose.
The truth is,
I have nothing to lose. I'm quitting. And there are so many other things to look forward to.
